The Bell-Krotoski “Grab the Evidence” Grant. Was awarded to Sarah Doerrer, PhD, OTR/L, CHT, CLT, for the project entitled “The Impact of Early ADL Participation on Functional Outcomes Post Distal Radius Fracture.”
Sarah Doerrer is an Assistant Professor in the George Washington Occupational Therapy Doctorate Program. Sarah received her BS of Health Science and MS in Occupational Therapy in 2001 from Misericordia University and a PhD in Occupational Therapy in 2019 from Nova Southeastern University. She is a certified hand therapist and certified lymphedema therapist.
Sarah received The Burkhalter New Investigator Award in 2017 from American Hand Therapy Foundation for the study “The Impact of Shoulder Pathology on Individuals with Distal Radius
Fracture”. Sarah serves on the research division of the American Hand Therapy Association. She has a special interest in improving clinical outcomes for individuals with distal radius fracture.
